Chromatic Drift
Audio Installation
This installation explores the relation between light and sound waves. Every one of the three turntables controls a melody progression, but due to them running at different speeds, new constellations of the melodies occur all the time. The experience only gets intensified by the lighting arrangement that reflects the spectrum of audible sounds.
AXYS
AUDIO INSTALLATION
A large scale sound installation consisting of three pendulums that control the playback of a certain melody – each pendulum sparks an impulse through an optical sensor at the point of its minimal deflection. An AXYS performance is unique and not reproducible, due to the physical texture of the components that has a direct effect on melody and tone color.
Extrapolate Inwards
AUDIO INSTALLATION
This large-format audio installation deals with themes such as the transient nature of things, and the creative accomplishment of the listener when being confronted with complex sound structures.
It’s Always Now
Audio Installation
Time and the fleeting nature of existence have always been at the centre of my work, and I'm glad to share my thoughts through this video portrait offering a glimpse into the process of setting up the installation „Extrapolate Inwards"
A Thought that Travels Through Time
Audio Installation
This interactive A/V installation explores the inner workings of polyphonic sound structures with the help of projection mapped images. Each of the three voices has a specific role in the visual sequencing, and provides a deeper understanding of their interaction.
About
I'm a sound artist and music producer based in Frankfurt, Germany with a passion for sharing knowledge. I've worked as lecturer at the Abbey Road Institute in Frankfurt (with focus on Max/MSP and sound synthesis) and developed video series for Softube (Modular Sound Explorations) and Korg (Sequencing Strategies) among others. In addition to releasing music and performing live with my modular synthesizer. I'm also exhibiting large-format audio installations based around my interests in 3d printing, microcontrollers and their interactions with sensors and physical objects.
